Our Division
Parents
At Lakeland Catholic we offer supports and services to meet the needs of all learners. Universal supports are in place in classrooms and can include many accommodations and instruction techniques to meet student needs across the curriculum.
For students identified with inclusive education needs, targeted and specialized supports are addressed through student Individualized Program Plans (IPPs). Teachers create IPPs in collaboration with parents and review the plan throughout the school year.
In each of our schools, Classroom Support Teachers coordinate programming for inclusive education students. They are the primary point of contract for staff and parents for students that require targeted and specialized supports.
We have a multidisciplinary team which includes a Speech Language Pathologist, an Occupational Therapist, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and a part-time Registered Psychologist. Teachers refer students to multidisciplinary team therapist(s) as needed.
Students with low-incidence inclusive education learning needs including blind/low vision and deaf/hard of hearing learners are referred to the Eastern Edge Low Incidence Team. This team provides a consultant to work with students and schools to assist with educational programming.
