Indigenous Peoples Day
Schools from LCSD united with their communities to honor and engage in Indigenous Peoples Day celebrations. Students and staff departed with a renewed appreciation for the cultural diversity within their community and a commitment to continued unity and inclusivity.
This aligns with Priority Three: First Nations, Métis, and Inuit (FNMI).
Year End School Awards and Celebrations
As the 2023-24 school year drew to a close, every school within the Lakeland Catholic School Division held unique celebrations to honor numerous achievements, spanning academics, athletics, and scholarships. Schools celebrated farewells for preschool, Grade 4, and Grade 8 students, alongside graduations for Kindergarten and Grade 12, recognizing their next step on their learning journey.
This aligns with Priority Two: Student Growth and Achievement.
Farewell Mass
Schools gathered for faith-filled and inspiring messages as a meaningful way to conclude the 2023-24 school year at their local parish, fostering a sense of unity and reflection among students, staff, and families.
This aligns with Priority One: Catholic Christian Identity.
Track and Field
Assumption’s Senior athletes’ victory in the 2A Zone Championships and the spirited participation of Junior athletes in ward and district competitions showcase the school’s dedication to exceptional athletics at multiple levels!
